The association Sodalis CSVS was beneficiary as leader of the “SolidalCiti” project presented to the European Commission for the Europe for Citizens annuality 2017 program and develops from 31 January 2018 to 30 July 2019.
Objectives and partners
The project is in partnership with non-profit organizations and volunteer support centers present in Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Greece, Malta, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, United Kingdom and aims to create opportunities for comparison and investigation on the commitment of volunteering in emergency situations and crises such as those related to the reception of migrants and natural and anthropogenic emergencies.
European Solidarity Corps
The European Solidarity Corps is the new initiative of the European Union that offers young people work or volunteer opportunities, either in their own country or abroad, as part of projects to help communities or populations in Europe.
Requested availability and dates
Sodalis intends to involve n. 8 volunteers to be included in the European Solidarity Corps within the Solidalciti project.
Teamwork will be of two groups of 4 volunteers who will contribute to the realization of the project activities; the first team will be activated from 11 to 24 February while the second team from 12 to 26 June 2019.
The 4 volunteers will support and assist the CSV Salerno in the research work envisaged by the project on the status of Volunteering in Europe. The activity will take place at the offices of CSV Salerno and in the territory where the volunteer is domiciled. The activity provides for a reimbursement of expenses (transfers, meals and possible accommodation) and involves a weekly commitment of 30 hours.
The 4 volunteers will support and assist the CSV Salerno in the work of preparing the final event of the project to be held in Brussels on 18 June 2019 and the dissemination of the activities carried out in the project. Both teams are expected to attend the final event in Brussels on 18/06/2019.
Role of Sodalis
Sodalis undertakes to organize and coordinate the activities of each team and to guarantee the reimbursement of expenses as provided for by the European Solidarity Corps Guide.
European citizens aged between 18 and 30 who are in conditions of fewer opportunities or residency in disadvantaged geographical areas can participate, a condition of social and / or economic distress.

The registration procedure for the 1st Team portal must take place by Wednesday 6 February 2019; the expiry of the 2nd Team is for 25 May 2019.
